Day 01 : Mhamid - Sidi Naji
We pick you up from your accommodation in M’Hamid after breakfast and introduce you to your companions for the next days. The camels and our nomad tour guides will show you their home, the eternal desert. Our caravan starts out from M’Hamid towards Sidi Nagi, named after a holy nomad. We hike for three hours before we take our lunch break. You enjoy the stillness of the Sahara in the shade of the tamarisk trees with a cup of tea and a handful of nuts, while our guides prepare the meal. After lunch, our path continues for two and a half hours to the dunes of Sidi Nagi. While the guides unload the camels and set up the tents, you explore the surroundings and experience the sunset with its colorful display in the desert. We spend the evening with a rich meal and traditional music by the fire. The starlit sky invites you to lay down in the open and fall asleep under the milky way. You can also enjoy a magically quiet night in your tent.
Day 02 : Sidi Naji - Erg Zmila
The next morning, we awaken you with a fresh, traditional breakfast. You can experience the sunrise and the cool desert morning. We start the day fully rested with a three hour hike. Lunchtime takes place in the shade of the trees. After the traditional lunch, our journey continues for two more hours to Erg Zmila. While the guides take care of our camp, you discover the surroundings. The evening fades out with stories and music by the fire.
Day 03 : Erg Zmila - Zahar dunes
Enjoy the desert atmosphere during sunrise and start the new day full of energy. Our eyes on the high dunes of Zahar, we hike through the vast landscapes. We take our lunch by tamarisk trees after about four hours. We reach the singing dunes of Erg Zahar in the afternoon. While our tour guides set up the camp, you climb one of the highest dunes of Morocco and gaze at the overwhelming view. You spot the distant Atlas mountains and enjoy the colors of the sunset. The night at the high dunes is truly magical
Day 04 : Zahar dunes - Erg Lagwasm
We continue our hike in the morning, turning our backs to the high dunes and taking our lunch after three hours. After the break, we hike to Erg Lagwasm, another desert landscape presenting itself to you in full beauty. We set up our camp for the night. Our guides welcome your help building the tents and preparing the Moroccan meals. Take the opportunity to learn from and together with our cooks. After the long hike, you will sleep soundly in the stillness of Sahara.
Day 05 : Erg Lagwasm - Mhamid
After one last breakfast, we set out for M’Hamid. We reach Albour after 3.5 hours and settle down for our last lunch. We enjoy the stillness of the desert for a few more hours and reach M’Hamid late in the afternoon
