Camel Trek 7 Days To Erg Chegaga, The Desert Hike in Morocco is a walk in the big dunes of southern Morocco with a professional nomadic guide and camel drivers. A camel caravan carries the luggage.
Itinerary
Day 01 : M’HAMID – SIDI NAJI
M’hamid – Sidi Naji (5h) M’hamid early departure. After several hours of walking, lunch in the shade of acacia trees. For a few hours and resumed walking to the tomb of the marabout Sidi Naji. Setting up camp for a night under the stars or under the nomad tent.
Day 02 : SIDI NAJI – ERG ZAHAR
Sidi Naji – Erg Zahar Crossing a tamarisk Hamada before reaching Erg Zahar, large dune overlooking the most beautiful part of the Moroccan desert.
Day 03 : ERG ZAHAR – ERG LAGHRAIR
Erg Zahar – Erg Laghrair A few hours walk lead us to the Erg Smar for lunch and resume the camel Erg Laghrair
Day 04 : ERG LAGHRAIR – CHEGAGA
Erg Laghrair – Chegaga This day will lead us to Chegaga, the largest dunes in the region where we discover the nomadic lifestyle. The camp is located at the foot of this sea of sand and high dunes 300m, enjoy with fullness and delicacy of dawn and dusk.
Day 05 : CHEGAGA – OUED LAATACHE
Chegaga – Oued Laatache (thirst River) After a small half-day walk, the caravan takes a little rest Maihat assolah before reaching the Sacred Oasis of Oum Lâalag to rest and spend the night at Oued Laatache
Day 06 : OUED LAATACHE – KRAAT JEMAL
Continuous operation and the discovery of desert plants. Telhatine arrival at noon, lunch and rest near a well .Vers 3:00 p.m. we head Kraat Jemal night under the stars..
Day 07 : KRAAT JEMAL – MHAMID
Kraat Jemal – Mhamid Change of scenery, Kraat allowed Jemal to find a well-earned rest in Mhamid.
